Our Pastor
Chestnut Ridge is blessed by the presence of our Pastor, Sang Seon Park, and his wife, Jane, and twin daughters, Lilly and Grace. They have traveled quite a way to join us in Efland, NC.
Sang earned his Bachelor and Master's degrees from the Methodist Theological Seminary in Seoul, Korea. His first church was the Se-Kwang Korean Methodist Church in Yijungbu, Korea in March 1991. From March 1991 to August 2002, he served in various roles with the Korean Methodist Church in Seoul. In August 2002 he and family moved to Los Angeles, where he served until June 2006 as the Associate Pastor for Adult Education in the Los Angeles Korean United Methodist Church. In 2006 he also completed his Master in Divinity from the Claremont School of Theology.
Following his Master's in Divinity, Sang switched coasts and became pastor at Perquimans Charge in the Elizabeth City District. In June 2008 he was recognized as an Elder in Full Connection in the NC Annual Conference and then took on the joint Chestnut Ridge/ Clover Garden Charge in the Burlington District.
